Spring 2019 and the Room for Living campaign for one of our most favoured and treasured high-street brands, John Lewis & Partners, gave Jen the opportunity to editorialise a press report while still offering those all-important statistics in a reader-friendly format. The 32-page printed report, titled The Things We Do In Our Living Rooms (and the things we wish we didn’t), was given out to press at an event held in John Lewis Oxford Street, and they were quick to pick up on the highlights, which Jen worked closely with in-house buying and trade teams to uncover, along with a survey of 3,000 customers.

With such attention-grabbing headlines in print as ‘We’re moving back into the living room’ (The Telegraph); ‘That’s just the job’ (The Sunday Times) and the Daily Mail’s ‘Suite nothing: we’re ditching the 3-piece (but snapping up the bar cart)’, the report gained huge coverage – and across all platforms, including Radio 4 and Instagram. Jen wrote and edited the report, working with art director Kelly Flood to ensure the A4 report followed John Lewis & Partners’ brand strict guidelines while making use of a five-location shoot to deliver print-ready PDFs and a digital download of the report.
