This recipe-based magazine was in response to the latest food trend – flexitarianism, exploring how we could all work towards changing our eating habits. Jen pulled together content from various sources, with interviews with chefs, recipes from libraries and cookbook extracts and news, all 100 pages designed expertly by Jo Elston with a crispness and clarity that exuded confidence in this emerging area. Eat Flexi had three printed issues across 2017/2018 and was published by Marketforce (UK), the distribution division of TI Media.

Eat Flexi’s strapline was very powerful: ‘Change the way you eat’, epoitomised the magazine’s ethos, offering advice on simple food swaps, eating meat-free or vegan and enjoying seasonal produce, while encouraging the home cook to experiment and find a way to embrace this food revolution in a way that suited them. From vegetable-based cakes to salads-on-the-go, delicious vegetarian curries to brunch ideas for lazy weekends, smoothies to flavour-packed soups, Eat Flexi became a go-to recipe magazine for flexitarians everywhere.

Developing a print propostion in reaction to a trend… something on which I thrive, especially when you know you are on the edge of one of the biggest food revolutions of our time. Eat Flexi was a really exciting project appealing to foodies everywhere
